Jeff Kichaven
Jeff Kichaven is one of California’s leading mediators.  He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California, Berkley (AB Economics 1977) and an Honors Graduate of Harvard Law School (JD Cum Laude 1980).  He was a JAMS panelist before becoming one of the Founders of Professional Mediation & Arbitration.  In 2006, he was named California Lawyer Attorney of the year in ADR, and in 2007 he was honored with an invitation to teach the Master Class for Mediators for his Alma Mater, Harvard Law School.

Ed Poll

Gideon Grunfeld
Gideon Grunfeld is the President of Law Firm Development, which helps lawyers manage their practice more effectively and increase their profitability.  Gideon is a cum laude graduate of UC Hastings.  He was a business litigator for almost ten years, first at the LA office of Skadden Arps and then at Covington & Burling in Washington, DC.  He is one of the authors of the treatise, “A California Guide to Opening and Managing A Law Office” which the state of California published earlier this year.

Patricia McCabe
Patricia McCabe is a solo practitioner whose specialized practice is focused on the representation of the disabled.  She practices throughout California and other jurisdictions in United States District Court and before governmental agencies, including the Social Security Administration and Veterans Administration.   She has been a solo practitioner for 12 years.  She is a graduate of Franklin Pierce Law Center and is admitted to the bar in California and the District of Columbia.

Elizabeth A. Moreno
Elizabeth A. Moreno has been a sole practitioner since 2002.  Her practice areas are general civil litigation, employer consulting, private mediation and arbitration.  Prior to being a sole practitioner, she had 20 years of experience in insurance defense in the area of construction defect, business, insurance bad faith employment discrimination and wrongful termination.  Ms. Moreno has tried over 50 civil trials.  She has mediated and arbitrated over 300 cases.

Julie A. Fleming, J.D., A.C.C. is the founder of Life at the Bar LLC.  Following her 1993 graduation from Emory University School of Law, Julie practiced law (specializing in patient litigation) in firms ranging from two to more than 2100 lawyers.  She founded Life at the Bar LLC in 2005 and now coaches and consults with lawyers, focusing on topics such as leadership development, rainmaking, professional development, career strategy, and work/life integration.  Julie is a frequent speaker for law firms, law schools, and bar associations and publishes the free weekly email newsletter Leadership Matters for Lawyers.

Brenda McGann
Brenda McGann is a former lawyers, legal editor and in-house legal public relations manager.  In 2003, she started her own public relations consulting company for lawyers and law firms.  As a consultant, Brenda helps lawyers establish and maintain relationships with print and broadcast media, raise their profiles as expert commentators and generate story ideas she can pitch to appropriate reporters.  Brenda also suggests ideas for bylined articles, edits the material and submits the final product to interested publications.  In addition, she places lawyers as speakers on panels and at seminars.  Client include sole practitioners, plaintiff lawyers, mediators, defense firm, legal nonprofits, and legal services companies.

Louise Nemschoff
Louise Nemschoff is a sole practitioner of entertainment and intellectual property law, with offices in Los Angeles.  She represents a wide range of parties in domestic and international transactions in film, television, digital media (including video games, Internet and mobile), music, animation, comic books, and other publishing.  Ms. Nemschoff is a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School who has been in practice for over 30 years.  She has published a number of articles and spoken extensively, both in the United States and Europe, on various aspects of copyright, trademark and entertainment law.  In addition, she sits on the board of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF).

After serving in senior marketing positions with AmLaw 100 law firms, Heather is currently the Director of Marketing for Barger & Wolen LLP, a mid-sized law firm based in Los Angeles. As the firm’s first marketing director, Heather is charged with developing a comprehensive marketing and business development program.

Gordon Firemark

H. Scott Leviant is the founder, primary author and Editor-in-Chief of The Complex Litigator.
